Randstad is currently seeking a Procurement & Logistics Manager for an exciting position at EagleBurgmann in Ringkøbing.
responsibilities
As a Procurement & Logistics Manager at EagleBurgmann, you will be responsible for the local procurement and logistics organization, reporting to the Head of Operations. You will play a key role in overseeing both operational and strategic procurement processes, including those related to metal and metal components. Additionally, you will manage the logistics aspects of the supply chain, continuously optimizing costs, processes, and supply sources. Your responsibilities will encompass negotiating with suppliers, implementing global sourcing strategies locally, reporting on key performance indicators, preparing contracts, and driving inventory and price reductions.
In this position, you'll actively engage in dialogues and collaborative meetings with the global procurement team, shaping and influencing the development of the organization's procurement strategy. Afterward, it will be your responsibility to implement local processes, standards, and tools as defined by Global Procurement.
An essential part of the role is providing leadership and mentorship to the local procurement team, consisting of two buyers. You'll be responsible for performance management, people development, day-to-day coaching, and fostering a positive and developmental work environment.
Your key responsibilities will furthermore include:
- Drive operational and strategic procurement activities with a focus on cost optimization, process improvement, inventory reduction and price negotiation.
- Oversee the logistics aspects of the supply chain to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Conduct market research and work with the global procurement team to improve supply sources, pricing and inventory management.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage relationships to ensure optimal terms and price reductions.
- Prepare contracts with suppliers as appropriate, ensuring compliance and mutual benefit.
- Drive inventory reduction initiatives to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor and analyze pricing trends and implement cost reduction strategies.
qualifications
We envision that you hold a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or engineering. To be considered for the position, you have a minimum of 3 years of in-depth purchasing experience, specifically in the procurement of commodities, metals, and metal components, is required. Ideally, you have leadership experience, or alternatively, you view this as a natural progression in your career, with a strong desire to assume leadership responsibilities.
Additionally, you should possess the following qualities:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address process issues.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
